1326. Jacques CHÂTLIN (CHALIN, CHAULIN, CHANLIN) was born about 1692 in Chassy (Yonne) Burgundy, France. He came to the New World via/on "Le Tilleul" in 1720. He was identified as being 28 years of age The ship contained both volunteers and forced individuals. The ship list was dated 21/22 May 1720 and was found in Robichaux's book ("German Coast Families, European Origins and Settlement in Colonial Louisiana"). Jacques' name was listed under a section entitled "Women who have become bohemians" (but toward the bottom of the list which names men only). His wife, Anne Fanay, was listed as a bohemian. It appears, however, that he was likely forced to La Louisiane.1849 After dying at the hospital, Jacques was buried on 24 March 1730 in New Orleans (Orleans Parish), Louisiana, USA.1,3218

1327. Anne FANAY was born abt 1692 in Mare, Champagne, France.1849 She came to the New World via/on "Le Tilleul" in 1720. The ship contained both volunteers and forced individuals. The ship list was dated 21/22 May 1720. Anne was listed under a section entitled "Women who have become bohemians". It appears, therefore, that she was forced to La Louisiane. She was also identifed as 28 years of age and the wife of Jacques Chaulin.1849 She died before 1745.560
