He died before August 1661 in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) (Normandie Region), France.1715,1770 Anne LEMAISTRE (LEMÂITRE) and Louis LE ROY1385 were married on 27 April 1638 in Dieppe (St-Rémi) (Seine-Maritime) (Normandie Region), France.1,2780

2497. Anne LEMAISTRE (LEMÂITRE) was born in 1617/8 in Dieppe (St-Rémi) (Seine-Maritime) (Normandie Region), France.1770,1958 [Even though she was a widow at the time of her move to New France, she was a "King's Daughter" meaning that she received a dowry from the King to marry in New France.] She came to the New World via the "Le Phoénix de Flessingue" with daughter-in-law, Jeanne Lelievre, and her two young grandsons. The ship left La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), France in May 1663 and arrived in New France on 30 June 1663. Her son, Nicolas, had preceded them in 1661. She appeared in the census in 1666 in Beaupre (Québec Province), Canada with her second husband, Adrien Blanquet. He was listed as age 62 and she was listed as age 49. The couple had married in November 1663. Anne appeared in the census in 1667 in Ile d'Orleans (Quebec Province), Canada. The couple owned five beasts and had twelve arpents under cultivation. She appeared in the census in 1681 with her second husband, Adrien Blanquet. He was listed as age 76 and she was listed as age 63. They owned six arpents of land. DISPUTED INFO: She was buried on 1 October 1718 at Saint Pierre in Ile d'Orleans (Quebec Province), Canada. (NOTE: A record dated 1 October 1718 was found at Saint-Pierre that appears to indicate that several bodies were transported from the old church to the new church. The record is very confusing, however. There is reference on this record to "Marie Magdelinne Le Roland, la defuncte bonne femme Blanquet" but the name of another man was originally written in place of Blanquet's. That name was scratched out and Blanquet was written over it. Anne was the widow of Adrien Blanquet dit LaFougere at the time of her death. I do not believe that this was the date of her death but, at best, her remains were transferred from one grave to another in 1718.)1,2341

[Note: Anne's 2nd marriage was to Adrien Blanquet dit LaFougère on 7 November 1663 at Nôtre Dame in Québec. The couple had signed a marriage contract on 25 October 1663.]
