He was baptized on 22 November 1700 in Mézières (Ardennes) (Champagne-Ardenne Region), France.^1,3271 He came to the New World via/on "Comte de Toulouse" in 1718.¹ Noël Survivor - Natchez Massacre 1729 on 28 November 1729 or 29 November 1729 in Natchez (Adams County), Mississippi, USA. After 1729 he was a Royal Quartermaster (Keeper of the King's Warehouse) in Natchez (Adams County), Mississippi, USA. He died on 4 June 1757 at the age of 56 in (Pointe Coupée Parish), Louisiana, USA.¹⁶⁹³ Noël was buried on 4 June 1757 in (Pointe Coupée Parish), Louisiana, USA.¹⁶⁹⁴ He had his estate in succession on 21 March 1768 in (Pointe Coupée Parish), Louisiana, USA although the date on which the succession was initially opened is unknown. On this date, two documents were recorded regarding the election of a guardian for the minor children of Noel Soileau. A third civil document was filed on 30 January 1769 regarding the deferral to Guillaume Marre of the election of a tutor for the minor children of the deceased Soileau. On 1 April 1769, a sale ordered by the court took place of a habitation of Soileau's minor children to Lamathe the elder.¹⁶⁹⁵ Marie Josephe RICHAUME and Noël SOILEAU Sr. signed a marriage contract on 28 June 1737 in Louisiana, USA.^1697,3272,1

Marie Josèphe RICHAUME was born after 1721 in (St. Charles Parish), Louisiana, USA.¹⁶⁹⁸ She renounced her claims on half of the land belonging to her in favor of her minor children by Soileau on 26 December 1768 in (Pointe Coupée Parish), Louisiana, USA.¹⁶⁹⁹ Her estate was in succession in Opelouas (St. Landry Parish), Louisiana by 20 January 1777. She was listed as "Madame Marcantelle" in the document. The fact that she was deceased by this date is supported by the fact that her husband, François, was listed in the 1777 Opelousas Census without his wife.³⁰⁶¹

[Note: Marie Josephe signed a marriage contract with Jean Fradin dit Xaintonge (possible Saintonge) on 6 February 1735 at New Orleans. They likely married shortly thereafter. However, Fradin died on 19 October 1736. She then married Soileau in 1737 as outlined on this page. On 14 August 1765, she married François Marcantel at Pointe Coupée. The couple had signed a marriage contract there on 13 August 1765.6 June 1764.]
