Louis QUAY (GUÉ) dit DRAGON was born about 1665.1770 Louis appears to have been a member of the military unit originally called the "Troupes de la Marine". René Jette stated that Louis was a “soldat de la compagnie de Marigny“.3150 Between 21 April 1721 and 15 July 1722 in Montréal, a criminal case took place after a complaint was filed by Louis Quay saying that Antoine Bonin had seduced his daughter, Marie-Louise, under the pretext of marriage. Bonin then denied that Quay's daughter gave birth to his child. The plaintiff then claimed that marriage did not take place because of the gossip of Mathurin Grégoire, who told several people that he had relations with Marie-Louise Quay. The judgment which condemned Bonin to take charge of the child to the point of majority. 3213,1 On 15 July 1722, a motion and complaint was filed by Louis Quay, resident of Contrecoeur, against Antoine Bonin (Bonnin), for breach of promise of marriage with Louise Quay, Quay's daughter, having given birth to the child of said Bonnin, and against Mathurin Grégoire, for insults and defamation that contributed to the above promise of marriage. 3216,1 On 11 August 1722, the appeal of the sentence of Antoine Bonin rendered on 7 June 1721 was annulled. 3217,1 He died on 6 November 1750 at Hôtel Dieu Hôpital in Montréal.3214,3215,1 He was buried on 7 November 1750 in Saint-Denis (Québec Province), Canada.1,2380 Marie-Marthe RICHOMME (RICHOME, RICHAUME) and Louis QUAY dit DRAGON were married about 1694.
