1654. Pierre NORMAND dit JOLICOEUR was born in Saint-Palais (Gironde) (Aquitaine Region), France. Marie-Josèphe QUAY and Pierre NORMAND dit JOLICOEUR were married on 23 February 1724 in Saint-Sulpice (Québec Province), Canada.^1,2117,2118

[Note: Pierre's 1st marriage was to Jeanne-Marguerite LaHaie on 31 May 1719 at Nôtre Dame in Montréal. The couple had signed a marriage contract on 21 May 1719.]

A number of Internet sites state that Pierre was baptized on 22 August 1690 (born 20 August) at Saint Palais (Gironde), France. I have looked at this baptism in the French records and the record states that the parents of the child baptized on this date are Pierre Normand and Marie Pereau. However, both of the marriage records of Pierre Normand clearly state that the names of his parents were Pierre Norman(t) and Marie Viger. I searched the records of Saint Palais from 1683 until 1710 and found no baptisms belonging to children of Pierre Norman(t) and Marie Viger. Therefore, until further evidence is found, I do not believe that the 1690 birth/baptism date is accurate.

I've also found numerous references to his death which indicate that he died on 9 January 1768 and was buried the following day at Sainte-Geneviève - Pierrefonds (Québec Province), Canada. I have located this record and it is possibly his burial record. However, there is no identifying info (such as the name of his widow) on the burial record to confirm that the record is our Pierre Normand.

	iv.	Marie Charlotte NORMAND dite JOLICOEUR was born on 28 May 1730.²¹²¹ She was baptized on 29 May 1730 in Saint-Laurent (Québec Province), Canada.²¹²¹ She died on 23 June 1731 at the age of 1.²¹²² Marie was buried on 24 June 1731 in Saint-Laurent (Québec Province), Canada.²¹²²

	vi.	Jean Baptiste NORMAND was born on 14 May 1736 in Boucherville (Québec Province), Canada.
	vii.	Marie-Elisabeth NORMAND was born on 6 September 1736.
	viii.	Joseph NORMAND was born on 1 February 1738.
	ix.	Marie Francoise NORMAND dite JOLICOEUR was born on 11 February 1740 in Sault-au-Récollet (Québec Province), Canada. She was buried on 22 April 1793.
	x.	Marie-Josèphe NORMAND dite JOLICOEUR was born on 23 October 1742 in Sault-au-Récollet (Québec Province), Canada. She died on 9 February 1744 at the age of 1 in Sault-au-Récollet (Québec Province), Canada. She was buried on 10 February 1744.
